Tea Tasting, Japanese Tea Ceramics, and Stories About a Special Passion
Gerolzhofen. A cup of tea can be a treat or a little adventure. If you’d like to get to know artist Jonas Hornung and his special passion for traditional Japanese tea ceramics and abstract painting better, “A Cup of Tea with Jonas Hornung” is the perfect event for you.
As part of his current exhibition, “Aesthetics of Harmony,” at the Old Town Hall in Gerolzhofen, the art teacher and artist invites guests to a cozy tea tasting. The event is not just about the taste of the tea, but above all about the stories, thoughts, and inspirations behind his current exhibition. Guests can look forward to diverse insights into the world of Japanese tea culture and learn about the significance of traditional tea ceramics for the artist, as well as how his fascination with forms, materials, and aesthetics is reflected in his abstract paintings.
In a relaxed atmosphere, participants will taste tea together while Jonas Hornung explains his unique ceramic pieces and the ideas that shape his artistic work. In this way, a cup of tea becomes a small journey into the world of art.
