The traveling exhibition “What Should I Wear? Lower Franconia Between Trends and Tradition” by the Lower Franconian Cultural Foundation explores forms of expression through textiles from the past to the present. The exhibition will be on view on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, starting at 9:00 a.m. at Marktplatz 20 in Gerolzhofen (97447 Schweinfurt). The exhibition explores what people in Lower Franconia wore and wear today, and the role clothing plays as a means of communication for identity, status, and beliefs. Historical exhibits and works by regional fashion designers illustrate the evolution of trends and traditions. Additionally, the exhibition offers an opportunity to reflect on one’s own consumption habits as well as aspects of sustainability.
