The town square in Gerolzhofen is set to undergo a comprehensive renovation and redesign. The first steps in this process are scheduled to begin as early as the end of May. But even with construction work getting underway, visitors won’t have to miss out on a cherished tradition: The popular “Brunnenschoppen” will be quickly repurposed as a “Baustellenschoppen.” The tried-and-true concept remains unchanged: Almost every Thursday starting at 6 p.m., different winemakers from the Steigerwald Wine Region will be serving their wines at the Gerolzhofen Tourist Information Center. From 7 to 9 p.m., live music sets the right mood and invites guests to linger. This way, guests can enjoy regional wines in a special atmosphere throughout the summer, likely until mid-September. A real highlight for wine lovers and anyone who appreciates a convivial evening. Market Square Fountain – This Thursday, Weinbau Ruppenstein from Oberschwarzach and Weingut Baumann Forellenhof from Handthal will be serving their wines. Osmo Solo will provide the musical accompaniment. Christoph Osmo Ohsiek from Otterberg in the Palatinate, who has been touring throughout Germany and beyond for over three decades as a bassist with various bands, has rediscovered his first instrument—the acoustic guitar. In addition to evergreens and singer-songwriter tunes, Osmo Solo plays many 1980s wave-pop hits in acoustic versions he has developed himself.
