At Dr. Biederbrock’s practice, the doctor treats an unusual mix of patients while also tinkering with a cure-all. When a treatment for rheumatism produces enormous vegetables in farmer Grieße’s garden, the press takes notice. Soon, some of those involved see a business opportunity, and the trail leads to the doctor. The fast-paced plot combines eccentric characters with complications surrounding the medical experiments.
