The guided tour of the permanent exhibition “Die Anfänge des Buchdrucks bis ins 16. Jahrhundert” takes place on Sunday, November 15, 2026, at 2:30 p.m. at Kulturvilla Museum Otto Schäfer, Judithstraße 16 in Schweinfurt. Michael Bucher leads visitors through the new collection tour, which begins around the time Gutenberg invented movable-type printing. The tour explores the upheavals shaped in part by the spread of printed works, including the Reformation and the German Peasants’ War, as well as other historical events. A continuation covering the 17th and 18th centuries is scheduled for January 17, 2027, with Jan Soldin.
