On Friday, September 11, 2026, starting at 7:30 p.m., the event “Earth Night with Bund Naturschutz” will take place at the Röthlein Elementary School at Friedhofstraße 2. The event will focus on the growing problem of light pollution and its negative effects on the climate, wildlife, and human sleep. In addition to various information booths and exhibits, a special children’s program will be offered. Amateur astronomers will also give guests the opportunity to gaze at the starry sky through telescopes. The event, which is expected to last until 10:00 p.m., aims to raise awareness about a more mindful and responsible use of artificial light.
