On Sunday, June 28, 2026, at 1:00 p.m., a guided tour of the historic ice cellars will take place in Gerolzhofen, Östliche Allee, 97447 Schweinfurt. The event is organized as an exhibition. The tour provides interesting facts about the history of beer brewing and the storage of the finished product. To keep the beer cool at consistently low temperatures even in the summer, the city’s various breweries used a large cellar complex located outside the city walls. The guided tour offers the opportunity to explore these historic underground facilities and learn more about the traditional cooling methods used in Gerolzhofen’s brewing history.
