DESCRIPTION:The “FarbenSpiel” exhibition will present works of art created from discarded musical instruments on Saturday\, September 12\, 2026\, starting at 8:00 a.m. at Ludwigstraße 16 in Schweinfurt. The project was developed in collaboration between the cultural office of Lebenshilfe Wohnstätten Mainfranken\, led by Antje Arlt\, and Würzburg-based artist Philipp Rau. Residents of Lebenshilfe\, aged between 30 and 65\, redesigned a total of 15 old instruments and individual parts during several workshops. They used the “Abstract Pouring” technique\, an acrylic pouring method. The resulting three-dimensional works—including reimagined guitars\, saxophones\, and drums—belong to the category of “outsider art”—an art form created free from academic rules.
