The “FarbenSpiel” exhibition at the Augustinum in Schweinfurt (Ludwigstraße 16) showcases the results of an inclusive art project by Lebenshilfe Wohnstätten Mainfranken and Würzburg-based artist Philipp Rau. As part of a series of workshops, residents of Lebenshilfe aged between 30 and 65 transformed disused musical instruments.
Using the abstract pouring technique, a total of 15 instruments and individual parts—including guitars, saxophones, and drums—were transformed into colorful, three-dimensional works of art. The resulting works fall under the category of outsider art, which is characterized by a style that defies academic conventions.
The exhibition in the Art and Culture category will be open to visitors on Thursday, September 17, 2026, starting at 8:00 a.m.
