On Saturday, September 26, 2026, the Augustinum Schweinfurt, located at Ludwigstraße 16, invites you to the “FarbenSpiel” exhibition. The event begins at 8:00 a.m. and showcases the results of an inclusive art project.
Extraordinary works of art were created as part of a collaboration between the cultural office of Lebenshilfe Wohnstätten Mainfranken, led by Antje Arlt, and Würzburg-based artist Philipp Rau. Residents of Lebenshilfe, ranging in age from 30 to 65, transformed disused musical instruments during a series of workshops. Under professional guidance, a total of 15 instruments and individual parts—including guitars, saxophones, and drums—were transformed using the abstract pouring technique. The resulting sculptural works fall under the category of outsider art and are characterized by their free, unfiltered design, which defies academic conventions.
