The historical open-air play “Die Schutzfrau von Münnerstadt” will take place on Sunday, September 13, 2026, at 2:30 p.m. in Münnerstadt. The Münnerstadt local play has been performed since 1927 and is listed in the State Register of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Bavaria. The performance on the Anger is part of an accompanying program of events on the day of the festival. This program begins at 10:00 a.m. with refreshments at the Deutschordensschloss. At 1:00 p.m., the “Feldkasse” will be paraded in front of City Hall, followed by a parade starting at 1:45 p.m. Following the play, a city tour on the theme “Heimatspiel: Poetry, Truth & Legend” will be offered at 4:00 p.m., beginning at the Heimatspiel box office.
