With many of their own compositions, the trio captivates audiences with their unique enthusiasm, virtuosity, and originality.
The Inswingtief Trio plays acoustic jazz in the tradition of Jazz-Manouche. Among their major influences are Django Reinhardt, Stéphane Grappelli, and their successors—the pioneers of Gypsy swing, which is considered Europe’s contribution to the history of jazz.
With many original compositions, the trio captivates audiences with its unique joy of playing, virtuosity, and originality. This time, they also venture—with charming nonchalance—into further explorations of tango, folk, and klezmer, drawing on French musette waltzes, funk, bossa nova, and calypso, and celebrating solemn ballads with beautiful melodies
