On Friday, November 20, 2026, Lothar Reichel will read from his local crime novel “Das Morata-Geheimnis” at 6:30 p.m. at the Historisches Rathaus Schweinfurt. The story centers on detective Linda Morata, who pursues a previously unsolved case after her first investigations in Schweinfurt. The clues lead all the way back to the Renaissance: back then, the humanist Olympia Fulvia Morata narrowly escaped death in Schweinfurt. Reichel combines the murder investigation with the history of the city and its past. The reading will take place at the Rathaus at Markt 1.
