When the Steigerwald Forest, the vineyards, and a castle provide the backdrop for a special event, it’s time for the Oberschwarzach Castle Wine Festival.
This time, the historic landmark will serve as the backdrop for the 47th Wine Festival, which will take place on Hauptstraße on Saturday, July 4, Sunday, July 5, and Monday, July 6. Market Town Wine Princess Lorena Kraiß, along with wine queens from the region and numerous guests of honor, will open the Oberschwarzach Wine Festival on Saturday evening at 7:00 p.m. Under the motto “Discover and Enjoy,” the market town invites you to a wine festival set against a historic backdrop. And for your enjoyment, select wines from local vineyards will be available, paired with regional culinary delicacies.
The wine festival kicks off on Saturday, July 4, at 5:00 p.m. with the Steigerwaldkapelle. On Sunday, July 5, the festival begins in the afternoon with coffee and cake, and starting at 5:00 p.m., Babb Süaß will play traditional tavern music. On Monday, July 6, the Castle Wine Festival Party will feature the Dreimannband. Schäufele from the castle oven will be available starting at 6:00 p.m. by advance order (call 09382/3195205).
