On Thursday, April 22, 2027, Tommy Jaud will read from his new novel “Bubble – Explosive Story an Shrimps” at 7:30 p.m. at Disharmonie, Gutermann-Promenade 7, in Schweinfurt.
At the center of the story is Bubble, a tomcat who considers people joyless failures. His owner, Tim, has retreated into his apartment and home office. When the neighborhood is evacuated because a World War II bomb is being defused, Tim has to take along his landlord’s cat while the landlord is away. The two leave their familiar surroundings together and embark on an unplanned journey outdoors.
Jaud tells the story of the involuntary encounter between a reclusive man and a strong-willed tomcat—and of how they both open themselves up to the world and to each other.
