DESCRIPTION:Once a year\, Gerolzhofen transforms into a paradise for wine connoisseurs and music lovers—right in the heart of Franconia!\n\nFrom July 17 to 20\, 2026\, the town once again invites you to its legendary wine festival in Franconia’s largest wine tavern—full of warmth\, flavor\, and atmosphere! The historic market square and the old town glow with a sea of lights from the romantic gable illuminations\; the old town becomes a stage for connoisseurs\, and wine stands everywhere entice visitors with fine wines from the Steigerwald wine region. Whether it’s Silvaner\, Bacchus\, or a full-bodied red wine\, everyone will find their perfect match here. At the stands run by the Gerolzhofen Winegrowers’ Association\, TV Gerolzhofen\, and FC Gerolzhofen\, you’ll find whatever your heart desires.\n\nAnd since good wine never comes alone\, there’s culinary delights at their finest: Franconian bratwurst\, juicy steaks\, schnitzel sandwiches\, pizza\, pasta made from a whole wheel of cheese\, tarte flambée\, burgers\, crêpes\, and much more. The Volunteer Fire Department is even tapping a beer brewed especially for the festival—an absolute rarity! On the quieter Spitalstraße\, the Sportfishing Club is pouring sparkling wine\, while in the idyllic Spitalgarten\, the Rot-Weiß Tennis Club is serving summer wines and wine specialties. Also on offer: homemade cakes from the Naturkindergarten (Sundays only). Sunday’s highlight: the musical morning get-together starting at 11 a.m. with lunch on the market square—perfect for the whole family!
