WissensZeit explores artist biographies and the recurring narrative patterns within them. The story of genius often begins with an early talent said to have emerged in childhood. Jan Soldin, director of Museum Otto Schäfer, traces these narratives through examples and asks what truths lie behind the stories handed down through the years. The focus also turns to historical figures represented at the museum. The lecture examines how the idea of exceptional artist biographies takes shape—and why artistic skill does not simply fall from the sky.
The event takes place on Sunday, December 27, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at Kulturvilla Museum Otto Schäfer, Judithstraße 16, 97422 Schweinfurt.
