The Johanniskapelle Museum opens its doors to an extraordinary exhibition in which past and present intertwine in a fascinating way. Between Eternity and the Moment brings together contemporary works with impressive Gothic art, creating an intense dialogue about time and space. Selected paintings, sculptures, ceramics, and plastic arts by artists such as Thomas Hildenbrand, Franz Hitzler, Gerhard Rießbeck, herman de vries, and Heinrich Söller engage in a dynamic exchange with the historic architecture and Gothic exhibits of the Johanniskapelle. The works, on loan from the Kunsthalle Schweinfurt, open up new perspectives on perception, transience, and spiritual spaces. Each artist’s signature style approaches the theme in its own way: sometimes poetic and meditative, sometimes analytical and expansive. The result is a multi-layered experience that invites visitors to pause, compare, and question their own views on time, space, and art. Immerse yourself in an exhibition that bridges eras, materials, and worlds of thought. Rediscover the Gothic. Experience time and space in flux. Opening hours: Sundays from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Groups welcome at any time; advance registration required.
