WHAT SHOULD I WEAR? Lower Franconia Between Trends and Tradition Clothing has always been more than just protection from the weather: it conveys personality, identity, power, wealth, beliefs, and a sense of belonging. Every choice of clothing speaks volumes. The traveling exhibition “WHAT SHOULD I WEAR? Lower Franconia between Trends and Tradition” by the Lower Franconian Cultural Foundation explores forms of textile expression in the past and present. It asks what people in Lower Franconia wore and wear today—and why. Exhibits and regional fashion designers showcase both trends and history. The exhibition invites visitors to reflect on their own preferences, attitudes, and sustainability, and to rediscover clothing as a form of expression. Moreover, there could be no more fitting venue for it than the Gerolzhofen City Museum with its permanent exhibition “The Sewing Machine: A Global Success.” Admission: €3.50 adults, €3.00 reduced (seniors + students), €2.00 for students, free for children under 6 Opening hours Monday through Friday: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Sundays and holidays: 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
