The musical and literary evening “Nie bereut” by BASSION is dedicated to women who resisted National Socialism. The focus is on life stories that are often overlooked in the collective memory, including those of Johanna Kirchner, Lore Wolf, Maria von Maltzan, and Ilse Totzke from Würzburg. These women organized aid, hid those being persecuted, spread information, and risked their freedom and their lives.
Birgit Süß curates the evening with texts, while Klaus Ratzek provides the music. Literature, music, and multimedia elements are combined with live double bass, loops, and euphonium. The event commemorates the various forms of female resistance and gives voice to the stories of those involved.
The performance will take place on Sunday, November 8, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. at the Theaterhaus Gerolzhofen, Centgasse 4, 97447 Gerolzhofen.
