The concert “Echoes of Japan” is devoted to music from anime, film, and gaming. The focus is on compositions by Joe Hisaishi, Nobuo Uematsu, and Ryuichi Sakamoto, which bring together classical orchestral music, film scores, and video game soundtracks. The program includes Hisaishi’s “Princess Mononoke Suite” and “Merry Go Around of Life,” Uematsu’s “One Winged Angel” and “Ronfaure,” and Sakamoto’s “Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence.” The Harmonie Würzburg Orchestra performs under the direction of Yona Bong. Japanese soprano Mio Nakamune appears as a guest. The concert begins on Sunday, May 9, 2027, at 5 p.m. at Kulturhalle Grafenrheinfeld, Hermasweg 1a, 97506 Grafenrheinfeld.
