On Saturday, September 12, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., the exhibition “A Summer Guest | Carl Piepho: Impressionist” will be on view at the Georg Schäfer Museum, located at Brückenstraße 20 in 97421 Schweinfurt. This special exhibition is dedicated to the work of painter Carl Piepho (1869–1920), a member of the Munich Secession. On display are 23 previously unknown works from his estate, including 21 paintings and two drawings. These are complemented by works by Lovis Corinth, Max Slevogt, Leo Putz, and Albert Weisgerber from the museum’s collection. Piepho’s Impressionist works are characterized by depictions of people and landscapes with a focus on light and atmosphere. Admission is 9.00 euros; reduced rate is 7.00 euros.
