As part of European Mobility Week, the Local Agenda 2030 is conducting a campaign to track bicycle traffic in Schweinfurt. On Thursday, September 17, 2026, starting at 8:00 a.m., temporary, one-day counting stations will be set up at various prominent locations throughout the city. The official starting point for the campaign is City Hall at Markt 1 in Schweinfurt.
On site, volunteers will manually count the number of cyclists passing through each section of the route. The goal of the initiative is to highlight the actual use of urban traffic routes by cyclists in everyday life. The data collected is intended to clearly illustrate the importance of bicycles in Schweinfurt’s traffic and to draw specific attention to the needs of cyclists.
