On Thursday, April 15, 2027, Folsom Prison Band pays tribute to Johnny Cash’s work at Disharmonie in Schweinfurt. The concert starts at 7:30 p.m. The venue is Disharmonie, Gutermann-Promenade 7.
The program features well-known songs such as “Walk the Line” and “Ring of Fire,” as well as rarities. The repertoire also includes songs by Cash’s contemporaries and artists who influenced his music, including Willie Nelson, Hank Williams, Elvis Presley, and Buddy Holly. Between songs, the band shares stories about the songs and the “good old days.”
Roman Hofbauer performs Cash’s songs with the driving rhythm of his acoustic guitar. Josef Baumgartner adds electric guitar, dobro, and banjo to the band’s sound. Rather than simply covering the songs, the band gives them its own musical touch.
