The Gerolzhofen Nativity Scene Trail runs through the old town from November 20, 2026, to January 6, 2027. More than 40 nativity scenes can be seen in shop windows, churches, and along the streets. The route leads from the historic marketplace via Breslauer Straße and Bürgermeister-Weigand-Straße to the Protestant Erlöserkirche. A flyer with a location map helps visitors find their way.
The Nativity Scene Trail opens on Friday, November 20, at 4 p.m. The meeting point is at Brunnengasse 5, 97447 Gerolzhofen. The program includes a devotional service, remarks by organizer and nativity scene maker Klaus Vogt, and greetings from Mayor Thorsten Wozniak. A group walk concludes the opening. The Kripperles Stübla of the Steger family at Saarstraße 7 also displays around 30 handmade nativity scenes; visits are possible by prior arrangement.
