The song recital “Innere Größe und große Geste” features works by Robert Schumann and Franz Liszt. The two contemporaries knew and admired each other’s music. Schumann admired Liszt’s spirit of innovation, while Liszt saw Schumann as a great poetic musician and supported him.
Soprano Stefanie Wagner presents the evening together with pianist Lucca Verdi. Wagner performs as a soloist, including in Handel’s “Messiah” and Orff’s “Carmina Burana,” and has appeared as the Queen of the Night in Mozart’s “Zauberflöte.” She is studying vocal accompaniment at the University of Music Würzburg. Verdi, born in Paris in 2001, continues his piano studies there with Ana Mirabela Dina.
