On Wednesday, December 2, 2026, the “JazzAmMittwoch” series at the Disharmonie in Schweinfurt will present the “Jazz et Chansons” program. Starting at 7:30 p.m., well-known French chansons by Edith Piaf, Juliette Gréco, Charles Aznavour, and Jacques Brel will be paired with modern, improvised jazz.
Cabaret artist and singer Birgit Süß, together with the trio featuring Bernhard Pichl, Rudi Engel, and Florian Kettler, will perform classics such as “La vie en rose,” “Padam padam,” and “Sous les ponts de Paris” in new arrangements. The trio, whose musicians have previously collaborated with international jazz greats such as Charlie Mariano and Benny Bailey, blends traditional melodies with the open structures of jazz. The event at Gutermann-Promenade 7 offers a mix of emotive vocals and instrumental improvisation.
