As part of the BayernTour Natur 2026, tour guide Harry Scharold takes interested visitors on a journey in the footsteps of the beaver through the landscape between the Altmain branches and the Main River. Along the approximately six-kilometer route, visitors can see massive beaver dams and, with a little luck, spot great crested grebes and kingfishers. Participants will gain insights into the habits of these shy rodents.
The tour is suitable for families. Sturdy shoes and weather-appropriate clothing are recommended. Participation in the event is free of charge; advance registration is not required.
The excursion begins on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. The meeting point is the parking lot at the Altmain Sports Hall in Grafenrheinfeld, located at Hermasweg 1.
